Welcome to Paris of the Prairies AG - Mensa Canada's 2020 Annual Gathering
Mensa Canada will be proudly hosting Mensa Canada’s 2020 Annual Gathering (AG) from July 24-26, 2020. Mensans, from across North America and the rest of the world, are cordially invited to join our AG festivities for the first time in downtown Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Saskatoon is the largest city in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan with a population approaching 300,000. The city straddles a bend in the South Saskatchewan River, in the central region of the province, and is a pocket of Saskatchewan’s culture, vitality, and welcoming prairie spirit. With more sunlight per year than any other Canadian city, Saskatoon comes alive in summer, with celebrations like jazz, theater, and folk festivals held June to August. The AG falls right in the middle of these summer festivities so come and join the Mensa-style fun!
Delta Hotels Saskatoon Downtown is five miles from the airport and a block from the South Saskatchewan River and Friendship Park. Located centrally near local businesses and the university it is the perfect location for the 2020 Mensa Canada AG.
Mensa has negotiated an exceptional room rate ($129 per room night + destination marketing charge + taxes) for AG participants. If you extend your stay before and after the AG this special group rate will be available from July 23 to 26, 2020.
Paris of the Prairies
Coined “the Paris of the Prairies” by the late Gord Downie, lead singer of The Tragically Hip, Saskatoon is distinguished by a series of nine artful bridges traversing the South Saskatchewan River and connecting the city’s east and west sides. This nickname serves as the theme of our 2020 AG.See the program
